Post subject: | Installing Mods On a Mac |
Iv'e read how to install a mod in mod releases So I showed package contents, went to Content/Resources/ and dumped all the mods and scenes I I downloaded there. For example I put G4K.rte in there which is gold for kill in the resources folder, but the game crashed loading the index.ini first thing. The same thing happened whenever I put anything in there. So I'm thinking, maybe I'm doing something wrong? EDIT: I know I'm doing something wrong, but not sure what. Moved your topic for ya -D |

well when its loading the .ini it will say failed to load.. at line _ this means one of the file paths isnt correct. You should try and figure out which mod is doing this and then scan the index.ini for typos like a \ insted of an / some mods do that on macs trust me i know. |

It fails on the very first file it tries to load, the index.ini, on EVERY mod I have tried (Like 10). are you sure there isn't supposed to be a mods.rte folder under resources that you put all your mods in? In the installing mods thread it says put the mods in Contents/Resources/etc. What does he mean by etc? etc implies that we know what the directory should be and there is something more than Contents/Resources/. EDIT: It has become apparent to me that any mod that tries to load .lua files fail. Why would this be? I've checked the file paths and they are correct is .lua's for windows only? P.S The latest mac version is 22 not 23 |

A bit late. Anyway, that was just a temporary problem where Data forgot to update the link on the games page. The downloads page had a link to the latest build. It has been fixed now, however. |
