Post subject:  No mod will load, the usual fixes did not help

I posted this in "Mod Making" but I think that this problem has to do with CC itself, rather than the individual mods.

Recently, a few mods that I downloaded would not load (they simply would not be recognized by the game) and one of my own mods was giving me very odd errors (saying line 1 was problematic yet line 1 looked fine to me, as did every line of code). I decrypted each mod folder (I'm on Vista) and now none of the mods load. I can't figure out why, and it's very obnoxious not to have one of my mods working.

I've tried unregistering and reregistering CC, I've put the mod .ini's into the Base Index.ini, I've tried running CC as administrator, I moved the CC folder out of program files a while ago, and I can't figure out what would be causing the problem.

Has anyone had this problem before? Anyone know a fix? Thanks to anyone who helps.

Move out of program files?

I've done that a while ago, this all started while my CC folder was under "C:\Games."

Moving it out of C:\Games would be the obvious choice. If that doesn't work, delete your system32 folder and try again.

i lol'd.
the line 1 error sounds like it is a corrupted .ini. manually type that line into a new file, and copypasta the rest.

I tried moving it to a different folder and that didn't help.

I can try that again whenever my mods start loading, but the last time I tried that method I got the same error. When I moved the code to the bottom of another file, I got an "error at line 1178" or whatever line it was. I'll keep trying to fix the mod whenever I can play my mods again.

reinstall and then re-DL the mods? and make sure you either install to a new directory or do the whole shift+delete thing on the whole installation

I tried installing CC temporarily to my "C:\Music" folder, and when I put my mod in their it wouldn't load, just like before. Same with every other mod I tried.

Some of the mods perhaps, but most were working with B23 before they stopped working, and I had specifically updated my mod for and played it on B23.
