I took it's folder straight out of the RAR into the Cortex Command folder, but I noticed the inside of the behemoth folder isn't like the inside of most actors' folders. Inside the behemoth folder, there was a actors folder and a few extra things. I checked the brains tab and the actors tab in the game setup that starts up before the start of a skirmish, and I have a demo version of the game only.

Also, where do I get the mod below?



Also in game, when a bunch of bunker parts show up and stuff on the screen, it starts to slow down. Is this common? How do I reduce it?

Ok, you finally put the problem in more detail for me.

Never manually move files out of a RAR.
They lead to a wayyyy greater chance of human error, and folders getting lost/misplaced.

Follow these steps and you should get it working:
1)Delete DummyBehemoth.rte folder from your CC directory.
2)Go to the location where you downloaded DummyBehemoth.rte.rar
3)RIGHT CLICK on the DummyBehemoth.rte.rar rile.
4)Select "Extract Files...."
5)A browsing window will open. Navigate to where your main Cortex Command folder is and select "OK".
6)Launch Cortex Command, and in Skirmish's build mode, the Dummy Behemoth should be under the "Brains" tab.

Also, as weegee stated, the Dummy Factory is a teaser. All images of it are from the "Epic moments" thread, and I can assure you no one has it who currently isn't helping develop it. Release is soon, however.

Oh, thanks for the help, but I have a feeling that it won't solve it.

EDIT: Well, I tried rightclicking on the RAR and told it to extract to the Cortex Command folder, and I got a bunch of things saying that it couldn't find the specified path, and then the last thing said that I couldn't create the Behemoth folder there, because Access Denied. Then, I thought of how sometimes, I'm not allowed to move things into other things while that program is running. So, I tried to check something while thinking of a few times that is strange, how lately when I start a program (maybe a big one?) and then close it and it's window close, Windows Task Manager in the processes tab says that it's still running, but I usually can't end it.

So, tha's what is going on right now. I'm gonna try restarting my computer........nope. It still didn't extract at all. Just the same error thing. But, when I manually move the folder into the CC folder, there's no problems. I'm using Vista, btw.

The game or the extractor? If I need to run the extractor in admin, how do I do that. Just right click and choose run as admin just like with most?

Winrar. Probably run winrar.exe (or whatever it is) in admin, then do a file-extract instead of context menu.

What do you mean by that? That's what I'm trying to do. I'm already on a admin account, but still for some reason, Vista feels the need for me to run things as admin.

Look under your all programs in the start thing.

Expanded post would read
Right click winrar.exe, or whatever it is called, and say run as admin, then use winrar's file browser to open the .rar file you're trying to extract, then move the .rte folder from inside the file browser. Then, move the .rte to wherever you want it to be.


Yes. That's why I told you to run it as admin in the first place. I apologize for not explaining fully.

And by It still doesn't work, I mean the mod doesn't work. Though, I was able to run the extractor as admin.

Is your Cortex folder inside Program Files? Vista people seem to have problems if you do that. Try cutting and pasting it somewhere else, like the root of C, or as people seem to prefer, your desktop.

I moved it to desktop. Now what? DO you even know what the inside of the DummyBehemoth rar and folder looks like? It doesn't look like how most actors' folder placing is like.

Btw, FYI, it STILL doesn't work. I should just give up.
