 are CC activation keys universal?

Post are CC activation keys universal?
While I was buying my CC activation key, I noticed that you could buy both Windows and Mac "versions". Is this just for choosing which to automatically download, and the key is universal, or are there actually different versions for the different operating system versions?

Also, I can't check this myself because my MacBook Pro (which has my key, CC, and the superpower processer) is in for repair, replacing my blown graphics card.

If you're wondering, I'm stuck using an old Toshiba Tecra. Only upside is that it can run the Tutorial at over 30 FPS :P
