I tried to install a mod to the demo but i can't use it.

Yes. It should work. Tell us the mod you tried, the error you got (if any) and we may help.

I tried to use this mod viewtopic.php?f=61&t=14307.
I know what i did wrong first time, i extracted the mod to C:/Program/Data Realms but the game was located in D:/Games/Cortex Command.
So i extracted it to the right place and now i'm getting an error:
Abortion in file .\System\Reader.cpp, line 531, because: Referring to an instance ("Helmet Gib") to copy from that hasn't been defined! in WWM.rte/Devices/Head Launcher.ini at line 126!
The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'

When i press OK it shuts down.

Go into Base.rte in the game folder.
Open Actors.ini.
Press Ctrl+G, if nothing happens, click Format then untick Word Wrap.
Enter 176 to the box that appears.
Take away the "//" at the start of the line.
