Ever since B21, the gold-mining AI mode hasn't worked. This is a shame, as it allowed me to focus on defending my brain instead of trying to mine for gold during a critical moment. Is Data ever going to get around to fixing this? (If I seem to be the only person with this problem for some unknown reason, what happens is that I'll select the mode, it'll switch to a digger and start trying to mine in the opposite direction of the gold the miner wants, or just straight into the air.) |

The gold mining AI never worked properly, and currently I think the best alternative (and possibly a reason to remove the mining AI completely) is to just use the Go-To AI mode and set waypoints on the gold clusters. |

That's what I've been doing. However, the pathfinding AI tries to find the path with the least amount of resistance - which isn't always the quickest way, which means they constantly resurface (or attempt to, and never do because they can't navigate worth a damn) before hitting the next vein, which is often-times only a few meters away from the first one. |

The GoTo AI isn't great either... Now I just set kwazilion waypoints through the exact path I like. And it sort-of works. I think that the AI is the biggest flaw of CC so far. Especially when no multiplayer is going to be. (I really don't count split screen - that's good for a pong-like game, but nothing as complex as CC is) |
