   |   System Error on line 194Error message goes as is.
 Abortion in file .\System\Reader.cpp, line 531, because:
 Wrong type in Reader when passed to Serializable:: Create() in Base.rte/Settings.ini at line 194!

   |   Re: System Error on line 194I had the same problem. I fixed this problem by re-installing Cortex Command into a folder of my own creation that was outside of Program Files.
 Just make a folder on your desktop anywhere else and install it to that directory.
 
 Apparently Vista has trouble with file permissions when files are loaded from Program Files.
