Weird Error
Hello, I have been playing Cortex lately and have been experiencing problems with it. When I play Cortex it sometimes messes up my monitor which makes me have to restart my computer. The screen goes all blurry and stuff. I am running on a Vista (Inspiron 531 Dell PC). What do you think the problem is?

Re: Weird Error
Do you happen to be using a flatscreen monitor with a VGA cable instead of an HDMI or DVI cable? That happens to me if I don't use my HDMI.

Re: Weird Error
If it has a port on it for HDMI or DVI I would suggest investing in a video card that can output that. It's worth it.

Re: Weird Error
Or check if your video card had such a port.
And it might not be too good of an idea to skimp on the graphics card.
Won't DVI be good enough, DVI and HDMI are similar, just the latter has higher def and sound.

Re: Weird Error
It's a problem inherent in the way the video data is transferred. VGA cables are analog and the TV (which is digital) has a bit of trouble converting the analog signal to digital, so you get the waviness. Sorry kid, but you're out of luck. You will have to get some sort of HD cable and output for your computer to remove it.
