Post subject:  activities.ini problem with window vista

I comment out Base.rte/Activities.ini and Missions.rte/Activities.ini
then added Base.rte/Activities.ini in my Race ORKZ.rte

I successfully change the AI with Orkz in the game.
this is on my PC with window XP.

now here comes the problem with my laptop with window Vista.
i did the exactly same comment out in those index.ini as above.

however, it is still regular soliders and dummy drop out of the sky in the game. :???:

please help
thanks

Did you edit with admin privileges? Do you somehow have two copies of CC installed in different places that you're using the wrong shortcut for?

The Orks have their own Activities in their folder, that will load regardless of what you do to the Missions.rte one.

Change the money value there.

Should work.

Cant really help, but I run windows vista, and everything you've talked about works fine for me.

So, it's not vista, it's your laptop.

Steps to take:
  • completely un-install CC
  • reinstall from a new download.
  • go to missions.rte and edit the activities.
  • ???
  • profit
im running vista now, and CC works fine.

I remember hearing if you install CC into Program Files (like it does on default), vista will screw up CC if you attempt to change it. Its because of the annoying user control system that even controls the admin's actions.

Just install CC anywhere else than program files. My documents should do.
