whenever i use the ingame editors, the next time i try to open the game it closes and says theres an error in the data. the same thing happens with mods and the game wont work and i have to uninstall and then reinstall with a different path because there are files in the cortex command folder that are listed as write protected and i cant delete them. |

if i even use one of the editors without it crashing the next time i open the game. |

i have no idea. i cant delete the folders or their contents. and i now have folders in my C:\program files\datarealms that say cortex command(2), cortex command(3)...ect. |

Save it somewhere else. Mine is in "My Saved Games". Also, it appears you are using Vista. |

Do not triple post. Try logging in as admin, and then edit the properties of the folders and files in question. |

sorry for the tripple post, but i got mods to work now. i moved the file to my desktop, but i still cant use editors. I am registered and i have access to the menu but when i use the tools and close the game, it crashes upon loading. i didn't even save anything. |

Did you try a simple reinstall? |
