Abortion in file .\System\Reader.cpp, line 530, because:

Refering to an instance ('Gold Pile') to copy from that hasn't been defined! in
Base.rte/Scenes/Random.ini at line 170!

This last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'

I keep getting this error when I try to start my game.
It was working fine until I registered the copy and had to quit.

I didn't make (or edit) anything in the editors, so I don't know what to do.

Try to reinstall.

I have, about 4 times now.

Is there anyway to do a clean reinstall?
Like, where the computer is fooled into thinking that it's the first time installed?

Try what I did -- drag the entire Data Realms folder out onto the desktop, and THEN try a reinstall. It fixed my startup crashing.

Got it working... but is it safe to do anything running out of the desktop?

It's perfectly safe. Why it works when it's running on the desktop, and not when it's running from its folder confuses me to no end.

I actually didn't have to re-install.
I just hit the shortcut to the .exe and it started working.
Should I register the game with it un-installed?

Try it. I guess we can just hope for the best, haha.

Yeah, I'm going to. The mods are even working now.
Thanks!

*I'm gonna keep this open, even though it's fixed... someone else may need it.
