I wish to quote the Epic 'Grenade' here.

You are experiencing slow motion because of strain on your CPU. You need a new one.

i think "P4 2.4Ghz" enough to running on good fps.

My crap 512 RAM 1.2GHz laptop can run CC fine, so I'm curious as to what you're running.

A GB of RAM is plenty. the problem is your CPU.
Mainly, the Ghz is fine, its just the Cortex Command runs way better with more cores. if you open task manager, Cortex Command has about 4 pocesses running at one time. meaning a quad core is the best you could hope for.

It doesn't really matter the Ghz, just get at least a dual core CPU.

newer processors like CC more.
for a quick fix, go into settings.ini and start raising the "deltatime" variable, then start CC, if it is acceptable, keep it, if not, close CC and try raising it again.
pressing ctrl+o turns slow motion on and off, meaning you'll either get a good framerate but everything will slow down with lag, or you'll get a shitty framerate at full speed.

tl;dr (really?): go to settings.ini and change deltatime to 0.03, then keep raising it if its still a poor fps.
also, slow down and speed up the sim speed with the 1 and 2 keys on your keyboard.

Uh.
2.4GHz is not enough to play CC now.
I have 3 presently and it still lags.
I'll have 8 soon enough and there's no chance it'll lag then.

My 1.2GHz laptop can run CC with little lag.

Single core.

new processors run CC better. a 3GHz P4 will lag CC like a ♥♥♥♥♥ until you take the deltatime up to ~.03, while this 1.5GHz centrino duo loves CC.

I'm proud of my shitty computers inexplicable ability to play CC, then.
