Hi, I' m having this terrible problem. Whenever I start a game, it crashes the moment something happens, like a dropship crashing or shooting. It's a vanilla version of CC and I just installed it. It used to work on my old computer, but I bought a P5K se motherboard from Asus and a SATA hard drive. I also have a Geforce 8800 Gts and a Pentium D from intel, but those can't be the problem because they were in my old PC too. Help me please, I really want to play a game of CC. Greetings Hyperion |

Did you try reinstalling? That sounds like somehow the sound effects aren't working. |

Reinstalled it, didn't work. It's not the sound because I do get sound effects, and now it crashes when an actor simply walks around. |

Do you have the newest drivers? The hardware might be buggy. Try another game really quick that's about the same CPU caliber. If it crashes: hardware problem. One of the parts you bought might be broken. Or maybe a part you didn't mention is involved. Some computer parts actually refuse to be in the same case as one another. (those are rare cases though) |

Updatet some drivers, but there's nothing that doens't have drivers. Everything else works fine and I can play wow and unzip, wich I think, are some heavy-duty tasks for your CPU. |

My WoW is nowhere near the strain on my CPU as CC. Try something newer and more demanding, like Bioshock or something. |

I think it's a hardware problem. Downloaded all new drivers, but Driver Detective sais there are still some outdated drivers, but it won't download them because it's only a trial version. Anyone with a solution? Edit: Reinstalled Xp, did it myself now (what you do yourself, you do better). Works now! Ty for helping. |
