I was tooling around with one of my gun mods. When I tried to reload CC, it gave me an error saying that the InstanceName of my shell didn't match something. I have given up hope on trying to save this mod and now I can not delete the folder (.rte) or the Index.ini, or the actual HDFirearm (.ini), and I have tried renaming them .txt (That doesn't seem to work either.)

I really want to get rid of this nuisance and start playing Cortex again. Please Help!

(I have Build 13 btw)

Try rebooting, then removing the mod. Perhaps some background process is keeping some file in that folder occupied.

I used Windows Task Manager to end CC's background processes. Then I was able to delete.

I know this might be getting a tad off-topic, but why d'you have Build 13?

B13 was the "Golden Age" of modding. It had some of the best mods ever, but never converted to B14 and up.

And he probabily didn't buy CC.

Not converted my ass. 90% of the Build 13 mods converted to Build 18 if I'm not mistaken.

Also, I was asking him, not you. I want to know why he has Build 13, not why you think he has Build 13.

Edit: Unless of course you know him in real life or he told you at some time, although I doubt that.
