Post Slowing and then crashing
So I've received the following error while trying to setup a four-player split-screen game:

"Abortion in file .\Managers\TimeMan.cpp, line 179, because:

It seems your CPU is giving bad timing data to the game. This is known to happen on some multi-core/cpu processors. This may be fixed by downloading the latest CPU drivers from AMD or Intel. A lower resolution timer is going to be used instead until then, please restart the game."

I've checked the intel site for new drivers for my two processors (Pentium 4) but I haven't found any on their site. Is there an alternative solution? Is it because I was trying to run four players? Just trying to figure out what caused it. I'm not using any mods and I've already tried reinstalling. Reinstalling seems to work for awhile until I try to run four players again. Before attempting four people we've had success doing three player split-screen, it just doesn't seem right that adding one more player would break the game.

If you mean restart you mean, restart the program, and then reboot the computer when that didn't work. Yes, I've tried that.

Its maybe a couple years old, maybe three. I've been meaning to upgrade soon. Actually, I should ask if anyone else was able to run -complete- four player games without incident. It just could be that four players on a keyboard is too much for the game period.

I've run a 4 player game on a laptop. Not sure how powerful it was, but probably wasn't very.

I've seen people play CC on computers with windows '95.
And 4 players worked, but very laggy.

Hm, so the problem is limited to dual core computers then? Its unfortunate that theres no driver updates to fix it then. :(
