How are you going to say Mac is for fun when the only things that actually run on it are Art-based applications? Film editing, website design, etc are all jobs. They aren't "games". And the PC has spore too, hurrrrr. It'll probably have more features and run faster on the computer version too. Hey guess what? C based languages and visual basic are used to make games! Games far better than "Garage Band" or some other crap nobody has heard of. Let's see some of the games the PC has that macs do not: CoD4, Portal, TF2, HL2, Hl2:Ep1, Hl2:Ep2, CnC3, CnC:RA2, CnC:RA, CnC, Civ4, Civ3, etc. I'm sorry but you can google for yourself a list of all games that exist. Because none of them run on mac! Congratulations on not knowing what you're talking about Miles. And why is the world Mac capitalized in the topic? It's not even a real proper noun. |

In only one way your wrong Daman (in my idea) Blizzard has made a few of there games for both PC and Mac... e.g. StarCraft, Starcraft: Brood War... Thats all I know... (Though I hate the Mac anyways) |

Electroclan wrote: Unless Data, the "coder" of the two-man dev team for Cortex Command, initially designed the game to be portable.. I don't envision a macintosh version anytime soon. I believe Data lacks a macintosh in the first place. From what I can tell, CC already uses cross-platform libraries, like SDL. Somebody just needs to donate a grand to get Data a decent Mac... any takers? |

I have a Mac and although I love it for work and drawing ect (I play CC on my big bro's PC) I'll be honest that it's not the best for games. Which is why I'm getting a PC especially for gaming! I still understand that some people cant afford a PC (I cant either, I'm relying on a PC Gamer competition to get one) and a port to Mac would still be good, but Data said he might do it once he's finished the game which could take another 6 years (I think) so dont hold your breath. |

It annoys me the most when a smug Mac user pulls out his computer, and boots up Windows using his Mac. "Mine can run both!" He says. "Why would I need a great OS and a shitty OS. It's a waste of my time, I only need one." Augh Mac users. |

SHALL WE DIVERT THE ENERGIES OF THE INTERNET AWAY FROM MACBASHING FOR ONE MINUTE HERE, AND ACTUALLY ANSWER THE OP'S QUESTION? CC won't be for Mac until Data, or someone he trusts implicitly, gets, get this, A MAC. He has to have access to one to compile the source code for it. He's not going to give it to just anyone to compile because that would be just a bit retarded. Giving out the source of a commercial project is dumb. So, CC will not be for Macs anytime soon. Builds close to the "final" version of Cortex Command WILL be ported; Data has already said that. How, no one is sure yet, but he's going to find a way. Probably within the next few builds, too. |

Grif wrote: SHALL WE DIVERT THE ENERGIES OF THE INTERNET AWAY FROM MACBASHING FOR ONE MINUTE HERE, AND ACTUALLY ANSWER THE OP'S QUESTION? Windows compatibility on the mac. It's been done, just update to the right version (Mac OS X, with... i dont remember what, but its easy to find), however you must have the right kind of processor. Ergo, its already been done, but it doesn't work on all macs. 2nd, garage band is for making music. Art and music are FUN, but with commercial applicability, so mac-bashers, macs are fun, your just not creative enough. Yes Grif, let's stop this Mac vs PC argument. MACS PROGRAMS ARE SO MUCH BETTER AND MORE FUN FOR THE ELITE OF SKILLED USERS. YOU'RE JUST BORING LIKE ALL PC PEOPLE! HEIL THE MACINTOSH EMPIRE |
