Re: WTF IS GOING ON?! Lower Spec, Higher CC Performance?!

Well, sorry for being a noob or whatever, but if processor usage doesn't matter, why do games with better graphics need more hertz on the sys requirements? o.0
games don't just need more hz. you'll notice allot of System requirements will list 3 things:
1) Hz.
2) RAM
Those are the 2 things people read
3) who made the CPU.
I've seen games that say they require a pentium. That is, if it is a pentium, it needs to meet the Hz and RAM requirements. I've also seen games that recomend AMD, for
the same Hz and RAM. If you do not have the type of chip it recommends, even meeting the other 2 minimum requirements will not ensure that you get the same quality. For instance, I met the requirements for Team fortress 2. Based on Hz, RAM, Virtual memory, and my video card, it suggested medium settings. Team fortress 2 on the LOWEST settings, will occasionally get all chopy, lag, and freeze. Why? Different type of chip(s).
They list Hertz and RAM because it's what people understand and readily know. in gaming, its assumed you already have a gaming machine. Pentium is not usually for gaming people, its made for processing. Most computers are not built for video games in mind, they are made to do single complex tasks quickly, while gaming instead requires a lot of simpler tasks.
On a CC specific note though, this last build i've been getting full speed on for *most* game-play. I used to only get 0.44. it's been throwing me off.
