I set my laptop res to 1366X768 from the game menu, then do a restart, a popup on game restart it says video card does not support the res, and the game reverts to vga640x480, whats the matter with this game?

i have tons of games installed and video card is working correctly

From what I've seen this is due to Nvidia Optimus. I'm trying to find out whether the devs plan to fix it or not.

Is it windowed mode or fullscreen? If it's windowed, it's because the game window with borders would be too big to fit the monitor, which is pretty annoying.

Set it to a lower resolution, Alt+Enter to fullscreen, then change it to the one you want.

I Found One Way Is To Go To [Cortex Command/Base.rte/Settings And Set It To This:
Code:
Settings
   ResolutionX = 1355
   ResolutionY = 600
   TrueColorMode = 1
   PaletteFile = ContentFile
      FilePath = Base.rte/palette.bmp
   Fullscreen = 0
   NxWindowed = 1
   NxFullscreen = 1

That's Just My One. Don't Touch PaletteFile Or Filepath.
But, Set it To What i have here, with ResX And ResY To What you Want, And It Shouldn't Revert
Anyway, Good Luck.
