Post CC will not work
Alright, so the other day I got the

Abortion in file .\System\Reader.cpp, line 534, because:

Wrong type in Reader when passed to Serializable::Create() in Base.rte/Settings.ini at line 185!

The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'

error, and after using the search engine and trying out different ways to solve this issue, I'm giving up.
After trying to replace the Settings.ini file, replacing the Base.rte file, and redownloading CC 3 times (each one after an Uninstall) my CC still wont work.

This lockout happened after a crash while I was on the Main Menu, I removed all of my mods (all of which were working beforehand) and restarted my computer. I am at a complete loss on what to do.

You could try to install it to a different location. That will prolly solve the problem.

It did, thanks a ton!

I'm surprised at how simple that solution was.

Yeah, CC likes to act weird from time to time.
