   |   Mods not workingOk, I used to have build 22, I used mods all the time and they worked fine, extract place in cortex command folder, great.
I recently updated to Build 23, I've downloaded mods specifically for Build 23, extracted them, placed the .rte's in my Cortex Command folder, started up the game, it doesn't give me any errors, but none of the mods are present in game. I've tried all kinds of mods too, scenes, factions, individual weapons etc.

I've read all the topics I could find on it. One of the topics said to move the contents into a new folder with the same name, and then put that in your cc folder, it didn't work either.

Does anyone know why this might be the case? I'd be really thankful, because there are tons of awesome mods here.

   |   Re: Mods not workingNo, Hax, he just said he only got b23 compatible mods.
Is your operating system Windows Vista? If so, is CC installed in your Program Files?
If yes, move it to your desktop, and try there.

If not, I'm not sure what the issue could be. Perhaps someone else has knowledge I don't.

   |   Re: Mods not workingtry what phantom said, if that doesnt work, make sure it says .rte at the end. Also, sometimes when you extract a mod it goes into a folder named after itself for example this might happen:
 Mod.rar
 Extract Archive
 Extraction completed
 then you get:
 Mod.rte/Mod.rte/index.ini

Two mod.rtes might be the problem

 Otherwise i have no idea.

   |   Re: Mods not workingthat has nothing to do with this. I know from experience with cracked versions it does not.
Lets try not to discuss piracy directly. -Duh

   |   Re: Mods not workingI can confirm. That said, piracy of Data's hard work is baaad. This man is very likely not a pirate. He hasn't even responded about whether the above solutions work.

   |   Re: Mods not workingNo, I'm still on good old XP, I checked the folders and they aren't double folders.I'm still going to see if it works off the desktop.
Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I'm in a different time zone.

Edit: Nope no luck on running it from the desktop, I'll reinstall and see if that does anything.

   |   Re: Mods not workingWell after the reinstall the mods are working, don't know why that happened, but something must have happened during installation. Thanks for your help anyways, sorry to waste your time.
