I go to play skirmish, and all is fine. The dropships, rockets, whatever enemies happen to come in, they all come down fine. They land, open their doors, and the moment an enemy actor appears, CC freezes. The music keeps playing, the game isn't "Not Responding" in task manager, and I have to forcefully end CC to do anything. Any ideas what it is?

Are these enemies pre-equipped with anything that could potentially be longer than 11 unbroken characters? That would be my first guess...

No, everything is perfectly fine in campaign missions, I've tried different activities, doesn't matter what lands, it still freezes. I used to be using the AAL activity, but it started acting up, so I changed it. I then discovered it wasn't just AAL, it was everything. And its only enemies, and not when I open the buy menu, it only happens when enemy troops appear on screen.

Hm, un/reinstall? Could be an orphaned something or the other.

Reinstalled, it works now.
Probably Godly Descent that did it.

I've never heard of it causing that before. I don't know how it would cause that, either. It only runs after you buy it. Did you have any other mods on that run all the time?

I think the Xtremeblock might cause it because i had the same problem i got rid of that mod and it worked fine... There is probably other mods that cause it too though.

I meant that I probably exited mid-Descent, and it screwed me up.
