I just recently bought the full version for CC. After trying it out, I decided to add some of the MODS I kept hearing about. After I loaded all of them, debugged a few, then reloaded them, I tested it out. CC starts up fine with no problems, until I try to play a campaign mission, then it goes to a blank screen, and won't respond. If anybody has an idea on what's going on, I would genuinely appreciate it.

Is the campaign mission in question a mod, or base one?

If it's a modded in level I would suggest either not playing it or removing it. If it's a base level, try reinstalling CC.

One or more of your mods has PresetNames that are too long. Remove them one at a time until it works, then add in ones until you find the mods that are causing the problem.

It is a base, I just wanted to try the armageddon in Maginot. Wow that was super fast, thanks very much. Let me try that.

EDIT: Ok, found the problematic file. Where do I find the presentname item?
EDIT2: Well, I just got rid of that file. I can get into the campaign missions, but I can't access the bombs menu. Is this similar? If so, how will I have to got about fixing that. Thanks for all the help. I will have to fix it tomorrow. To bed I go.

IF I'm right, then you still have the same problem, only a different mod is doing it this time. I cannot be sure however, and would ask someone who is certain about their rightness.

Probably, and it's probably a mod that adds a bomb.

Crud, there are ALOT of those. I guess I'll have to keep trying. I will get to play eventually( I hope). This is starting to get on my nerves.

Check for bombs with names longer than 11 characters. They lock up the bombs menu. Just change the name of the item that was locking up the missions, and change it to less than 11 characters.

That's in a row, by the way. Adding spaces will do fine.

Clarification, anything, not just bombs, crashes the game if it's presetname has 11 consecutive letters.

But only when you open the menu for that kind of item.
