Post Trouble using Mods
Ive been having trouble getting mods to work on Cortex Command. I am sure they are installed in the right place (the cortex command folder) but when the game runs they do not show up. I have checked the FAQ and it says I should have 7 folders, however I am missing Promgrounds.rte.

I think this may be the problem, however I have reinstalled twice (and fully removed and re-downloaded once) but it still will not work.

Anyone think they can help?

you are using the mac build, no? prom grounds isnt included, much to my disdain. hopefully this will be remedied in the next release. in any case, it shouldnt be interfering with your mods, as prom grounds is just a scene. what are you doing with your mods? you have to extract them into your cortex command folder, so you end up with a folder called <modname>.rte

Im on Windows actually, Vista to be exact, which worries me even more form what you've said...

In any case, I have extracted the mods into the folder where those over 6 (meant to be seven) basic folders are.

oh, okay.
i would just give you the folder, but it has dependencies in base.rte that arent there anymore.. i could remove them.. ahh, i will, its a good scene. you'll just be missing 2 actors, ok?
it wont effect mods though. oh, you might be getting the dreaded error. *dramatic music*
try moving each mod (here called "modname.rte") to "modname.rte1" (make a new folder, copy everything out of the other folder, delete the old folder) and then rename modname.rte1 back to modname.rte. if this fixes it, its a weird extraction error that people get.

regardless: have some prom grounds.

OH.
are you sure you're extracting correctly? open up one of the folders, if all it has in it is another folder, called <mod>.rte, that's your problem.
