How are these made?
Is it the usual screenshot spam and then use of gimp/photoshop to make the animation, or is there a feature in game?

1. Launch game

2. hold " PrintSreenSysRq" button .

3. Look in cc's directory

4. Find a good GIF animator

5* if you didnt found good gif animator that can make gifs from .bmp , you need to find image converter

6 . Use tinypic site (search it in google) and upload there a made gif

7.Click Img button and paste there between a http that you've got on tinypic site .

EDIT: that mod on your gif you posted here made by uberhen in b20 and it still work in b22 !

GIMP will do you nicely.
Open the first image in the series, then "open as layer" all the other images (you can multi-select in the file dialog with Ctrl and Shift), crop/rotate/resize/optimize, save as Gif, indexed, animation, 80mspf (tweak to taste), cumulative layers.
