Post GeForce4 MX Driver Update Error
OK... I went to the NVidia website to see if I could update my driver and guess what...I could! So I download it, install it, mess around with the settings but didn't save them. So I go to try the new January 16th update of Garry's Mod hoping that all of the bugs are fixed and guess what!...

Any help will be appreciated.
It also has strange textures for Rigid Chips...
EDIT: it wasn't always like this...

Probably belongs on FP.

Anyway, I had this problem (yes, I had a GeForce4 MX)

No fix, except to revert back to the old driver.

Getting a new GPU card wouldn't hurt either.

Like a 6600, that oughta fit in an old PCI slot like yours.

Yep, I've also been unable to update a GF4 MX on a computer of mine in years.

It's a worthless card... :(

Actually I may be getting a new computer soon with my money I am going to get from selling my 360 (maybe) and ps2 and also getting money for my birthday($100?).
Any good computers in the 300-400 dollar range?

Just for the record, I have very similar problems with Gmod right now.
The problem is the lighting, mostly.
Also, the drivers for old Nvidia stuff really suck. Free surprise in every box!
Mine was that when you try to run the manager, it crashes and gives you an error report, and Nvidia Nview causes my computer to blur.
Frankly, at this point, I would upgrade the card, the drivers don't cut the mustard.
The new version of Gmod requires DX8, and even so there's bugs. This card can run DX7 max.
