Hi, I just recently got this movie called 1492: Conquest of paradise and I wanted to get some russian subtitles for it. Well I did find them. But then I burned the whole set (The movie was split in 2 and the subtitles were too so it was all going ok.) with the 2 movie files and the 2 subtitle files onto the dvd disk and after that I stick the dvd into my dvd player that was attached to my tv.
Since russian language is in cyrillic, the character set is different compared to the on im typing this post in.
Now the movies worked well, but the subtitles were complete mush. They were displayed, but in completely wierd characters that rendered the subtitles unusable.
Now im asking: How do I encode/fix the subtitles on an dvd player? (Not pc)

Re: Cyrillic subtitles on dvd player?
Maybe encode them as images or part of the video, so they're always on... ne znayu.
