This guy may be a breakthrough in cheap virtual reality that is accessible to a huge amount of people.

Discuss your opinions on this matter.

Japan is an island. Not so much aligned with a continent.

I have to say, this would be interesting to see with official games. And if Nintendo actually does catch onto this and starts integrating it into further releases, let's just hope they don't suck as a lot of VR games do.

It might not be connected, no, but it's considered part of it. I mean, every part of the world is considered part of a continent, and we don't see Japan being its own continent, therefore because Asia's the closest continent to Japan, Japan is part of Asia.
