I just installed the latest Microsoft security patch for xp. It downloaded and installed and my computer restarted, but when it came back on a bunch of my startup items got disabled. Has anyone else had this happen, and could it be some other problem like a virus?
I'll update this if I find any other things that it screwed up.

i got that patch also but that never happened to me. maybe it didnt happen because i dont have as mayn startup items as you. cant you just re-enable the startup feature in the program's options? the patch could have been to not allow as many startup items to startup because that could slow your computer or maybe easier to hack or something. good luck with your issue.

use start run then type msconfig and you should be able to re enable it there.

once the restart option screen you can listen so most of the rest of the song
