Yep. I got a new graphics card. I'm on Windows XP pro. So how can I make one/solve my problem? |

How do I make a Windows CD it needs to install a new card? I'm new to this, and not sure what instructions I should follow. EDIT: I downloaded new ATI drivers without yet putting the card in. The driver setup says "Setup did not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system." Does that mean I should install the card first? (hardware? So I guess it does?) |

Yes, it installs them onto the actual card. |

Not really on the card.. The drivers search for keys of the hardware , unque strings that tell it what its running, uninstall any videocard drivers you got right now, put in your new card, boot up, install the drivers |

Not much experience with Graphics cards, Jamesy. Was just my best guess. |

Thanks for helping me out with this. I deleted everything from ATI/SUPPORT. Were those the earlier drivers? EDIT: Actually, they're in "ATI Technologies" at Program Files, right? Works now. |
