I was trying to play War Rock on my computer but Vista loves to be naughty with my hard drive when im playing it and makes it lag I walk a few feet hicup over and over so I decided to say goodbye to my linux partition and overwrite it with xp then It wouldn't let me access the dual boot screen it just kept going into xp so I used Ubuntu to get rid of XP and when I tried to go back into vista it said please reinstall Afadk.asl (well you get the idea) I thought no problem ill boot into the Lenovo Backup Partition. Keyword: Partition, these guys don't send you an OS cd with your computer they rely on the most unreliable thing on the planet a computer. So when I get into the Partition and try to repair it just says %: Failed to repair your installation (I know % was in it) that just pissed me off because I lost my XP product code I went into Linux and downloaded my Ethernet card driver and a crack for xp I went back to XP and now im running a cracked copy with all the updates and windows thinks its genuine XD. Do you think Cracking XP was justified in this case? Now I have a Vista Home Basic key but no vista

ye, i agree on this one too. Theres programs to rip keys outta vista and xp so you can reinstall with a disk rather you bought it or downloaded it from another ..place. just put in your key.

and if you dont know what your doing, DONT DO IT.

Yeah but they should ship with an os cd or a recovery cd. What I don't get is how installing XP over the Ubuntu partition broke my Vista partition and my recovery partition. XP runs way faster than vista though and War Rock is working again.
