Xbox 360 Gets Virtual Console Type Service
http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/13/fall- ... -december/I'm very much looking forward to this one, but I still wish they'd just make a patch for Psi Ops... Unless these games have achievements. Then I have no problem.

Re: Xbox 360 Gets Virtual Console Type Service
I was going to complain about this being another way to nickel-and-dime gamers to death, but I gotta say, this is a much better value than VC. It shouldn't take priority over backwards compatibility, but for anyone that doesn't have the games yet, it seems to be a nice move on MS's part.

Lol, achievements. You guys need to get a life and play games for the fun of it. Not for a giant e-penis.

I agree, to me getting an achievement is "Hey! Look at that! I walked on water! (Play TimeShift) Sweet. Now back to the game itself." instead of three hours of blood, sweat, tears and broken controllers hurled across room.
Also, I'll probably front up for Psychonauts and Halo.

Re: Xbox 360 Gets Virtual Console Type Service
I've got Halo for PC, so I don't need that, but I've never played Pyschonauts, so I should probably get that. Not a bad price at 1200 points either.
Also, they almost definitely will not have achievements. No Original Xbox games have them. It's a 360 thing.

They can't and they won't. I'll probably get Fable if it's released for it.

Anyways, I've read a little into it, apparently they don't run perfect, little choppiness, framerate drops, n' such... But worst of all, selecting the 'Demos' section for any of these games apparently causes them to crash. :O EDIT: http://kotaku.com/gaming/rumor-smash/xb ... 322861.phpGod damn it. >:(

That's kind of stupid. Don't they have (or have access to) the source code?

Re: Xbox 360 Gets Virtual Console Type Service
With all honesty, why would I want to spend 15 dollars, on a game I could buy for 9.99 or less at a used game store? Also, I have the disc I could bring along places a lot easier than a hard drive. I don't understand how this appeals very well.

These games are just so that people can play the old games that they might not have owned, which arn't available in actual retail stores.
