A 500 dollar computer that you arn't going to choose the parts for.

You're doomed man.

Just go with a lower end Dell, those are reliable at least.
But agreed- you're f*cked.
And didn't you leave for good like, 5 times already?

You can get a fairly mid-range PC for 400-500 dollars.

Wal-Mart, buddy.

It's too bad you missed out on this deal:
Dell Vostro 400 Desktop: Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33 GHz, 1GB DDR2-800, 80GB HDD, CDRW/DVD, 128MB nVidia GeForce 8300GS, 19" Wide LCD, XP Home or Vista Home Basic $469

Dell has specials pretty frequently, though. I'd just check Slickdeals every once in a while, assuming you don't need a new one urgently.

And now to elaborate, all I need is the core computer, I have speakers, mouse, etc. And I did see a 1gb RAM XP home computer (forgot rest of specs) at wal mart for 400 bux, but anyway, this is why I quit, you people don't actually help.

...topic locked, THOR locked it, etc.

Continue to tell me, all I need is core PC with like a gig of RAM for 500 bux, and other things needed to happily play oblivion.

I suggest you Google and hunt through computer retail sites for one. I doubt someone will deliver you the perfect computer on a silver platter.

It depends, are you willing to build it yourself? if not do you want a specific brand or type (dell, hp, emachine)

If you dont want to deal with specifics, hop on dell.com and build it yourself, some of their newer machines cards can handle oblivion on at least low/med.

If someone locks a topic, ask for an unlock.

You're not going to happily play Oblivion for $500. $500 might buy you the video card that you'd need. But just the video card.

Pretty much.

You can get a video card that can play Oblivion decently for $100. And if you decide to buy a $30 video card instead, you can still play it through the Oldblivion mod.

$500 will buy you a top-of-the-line video card.
