WUBI is a linux installer for windows automatically installing a dual boot for windows and linux, letting you fix any problems you have in windows in linux

WUBI installs linux, for anyone that does not know about linux its the worlds best open source operating system. its constantly under development and is very popular among tech nerds and smart people. its not really that complicated depending on what you are doing. it can also be FUN!

as you see in this video (llinux compiz fusion) that linux can be a fun learning experence over windows, you can do just about everything that windows and OSX restricts.

WUBI comes with 4 install opetions
ubuntu, kbuntu, xbuntu, etc
ubuntu is what many of you will be choosing when you use WUBI it has the gnome desktop inviroment allowing for the best customization, for an explination of the others please consult google or yahoo.

WUBI is easy, no need for CDs or DVDs, it does it on its own from inside windows!

WUBI gives you the option to install on any hard drive or thumb drive in multiple sizes up to 45gb from 15gb

How long have you used Linux? I have used it since before Mandriva was Mandriva. Before Ubuntu even existed. I am more than smart enough to use it (obviously) and still think the Linux desktop movement, including projects such as Wubi are a waste of effort since the organizers consistently fail to deliver anything substantial.

Wubi. For everyone that has problems with Windows. Until they realize none of their programs work. Then all of their problems are with Linux and they realize the problems on Windows were minuscule in comparison.

No, WINE is not a solution. No, Virtualbox is not a solution. People want things to "just work" and the Linux community does not provide for that to be possible.

I'm guessing you just learned about Ubuntu and want to spread the kool-aid around.

i have used linux for 2 years, and i ran to it when my windows messed up, but i also run 2 servers with it.

so i was spreading it for the public incase comething simply went wrong with windows. wubi has followed ubuntu in all of its existance so that is why i posted it here because a bunch of people seemed to have problems with windows.
its very good for productivity, but not so much for gaming even tho CC runs on it just fine.

im not saying GO TO UBUNTU BECAUSE WINDOWS SUCKS im stating it completely for future or current reference.

edit: NO wine is not the answer, its programs similar to it that are more orginized.
like crossover games. they run most games, and for everything else i use wine. its a great OS for people that know how to use it. but for people that are completly lost stick with trying to fix windows.

I like linux. I use it every day. I have a Windows install and a few Linux installs. Gentoo, Ubuntu, etc.

Who needs (what I assume is) W(UB)INE when you can have a separate partition?

wubi is for windows, it installs linux as a dual boot with no CD/DVD
you can also uninstall it at the press of a button, it does not need a separate partion it stored in a folder like any other program.

That is virtual box for windows. You just run is from the start up menu.

Another partition you have to split the HDD but with wubi it installs into a folder on whatever harddrive you wish, you plug that hard drive into another computer and you can dual boot at start up.

well in words you understand:
it creates another OS on the Hard drive of you choice, allowing you to boot from it. but as you boot into windows if you run WUBI again it gives you the option to uninstall it at the click of a button.

BTW, for the record I am against pure laissez-faire economics. Due to the flaw in reasoning with the idea that hard work leads to success.

Though I understand that your arguments are primarily against lack of application compatability, but ignoring that, I'm sure you have to admit Linux is a technically more intelligent system, because Windows was designed with sellability, not usability in mind. Linux has the reverse. If Linux had the market advantage, there would be more positive commercial forces acting on it, and nobody with switch to Windows.

Unfortunately, Linux is stuck in a chicken and egg problem, in the short term. In the long term, as more vendors start picking it up, things will get better.

If not: I classify that as virtual box, except you do not run it from windows, you run it from the boot menu.

well as i said linux is more popular among tech nerds and smart people, not your average joe, as it undergoes changes it will be come more simple. ubuntu is more noob friendly, hopefully i will become standard. with its wiggly windows and such its VERY FUN with a touch screen, just thought i would say that.
