Yea so I had a root canal a few years back. They ground down my tooth and gave me a tooth cap. Well my cap just fell off... like 2 minutes ago. i found some temp cement for teeth so im reattaching it. anything else i should do? Also, I just became infuriated that my idiot dentist did such a shitty job... so would somebody |

Yes, go to the dentist. Aside from that, I've never had tooth problems myself, so I don't know if there's anything specific you need to do. But I'd say getting to the dentist is pretty much priority 1. |

Perhaps this is not the best place to ask for advice. Seek actual medical advice is basically the only good advice you'll get. |

I really don't know why people always come to DRL when they have a problem. Swallow a quarter? DRL. Tooth fell off? DRL. Need a Turkish translation? DRL. Your mother doesn't trust you or your brother? DRL. |

Well it being the day before easter and all, i cant go to a dentist until monday. I was wondering if i should do anything like not eat certain foods or something. I know I should not eat for 3 hours after using the tempcement. |

I'd suggest following braces rules (no gum, no peanut butter, no popcorn, etc) in the interim |

Ok. what made it break was a candy cane i found from last christmas. i was chewing it, and i felt a snap in my mouth... and there was my cap. |

Avoid food as much as you can until that gets properly fixed up. Infection is quite the ♥♥♥♥♥. |

I'm pretty sure you're not meant to bite candy canes I mean I chew boiled sweets all the time but I'm smart enough that I wouldn't blame my dentist if I snapped my own prosthetic tooth that way (not that I could as it's right at the front) |

I am just incredibly frustrated that I can no longer eat correctly... until monday. NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT IT JUST FELL OFF AGAIN! This is becoming very, very, VERY annoying. screw it I am leaving it out. Also, I always bite candy canes. I have since I was a child, and misplacing blame because I am greatly irritated that this happened does not make me not as smart as you. not to mention the fact did I did not break the crown, but that the cement holding it down broke. I thought that they would actually use something that is strong... and the temp kind is just worse! It broke without me even doing anything to it! |
