Your Greatest Fear
This is the thread where you post your greatest fear. I know, sounds creepy, but we're not storing your information for further use or anything like that. So go ahead, post your greatest fear. You can either post one fear and an explanation, or post a list of your fears. I may record all the data and come up with a fear graph, which fears are the most common. SO PLEASE BE HONEST. This will of course be anonymous.
I'll start: I'm afraid of a lot of things, but my greatest is probably the fear of infinity. Sometimes when I was a kid, I would think about what it'd be like to live forever, and once I'd been thinking about it for maybe, 15 seconds, I'd get this feeling, like my guts had gone through the floor and were burnin' up in the mantle. It's mostly infinite time that gets me, but infinite space, like the universe, I find creepy too. Infinite numbers not so much.

I think I'm gunna go with.
I hate silence, cause it makes you focus on the slightest creak of anything. Just creepy as hell. Also windows in the night are creepy to.

Re: Your Greatest Fear
Psychosis or having self-altering memories. My grasp on reality isn't the grasp you would hold your friend with, so having my perception of it changed is something I fear.

Yeah, something along the lines of that, involving castration and rape. I don't like sexual torture, uh, at all, and being subjected to it would have to be at or near the top of my list of "things that I don't want to happen, ever". Of course, if we're talking greatest "realistic" fear, as in, something that could likely happen, something more along the lines of being shamed at a large public event would be up there. ...That or having a messy break up with my current girlfriend. I cant imagine life without her would be much fun; I'm sure I could move on eventually but at the moment it'd be a pretty huge blow. soul-baring-y stuff on the internet rarely ends well.

Re: Your Greatest Fear
I'd say the end of the universe. Eventually, everything dies. No exceptions. It's goddamn depressing.

Re: Your Greatest Fear
My greatest fear would be to go insane. I mean, most of my time is spent thinking, so going insane, quickly or slowly would be pretty scary. Also turning into one of those people with mulitple personalities would suck. Or having memory loss every day or something.

dragonxp wrote: Also windows in the night are creepy to. Oh my goodness this. Especially if i've involuntarily nurtured some extremely scary thought in my head. Also, heights, spiders and stingy-bitey insects. Going anywhere near a steep drop will make my toes curl up and my stomach contort. Spiders just freak me the ♥♥♥♥ out, and i'm afraid of painful stings/bites. It's not like i couldn't handle the pain, there's just something about those insects that makes me jump a mile in the air when i see one on my arm. Another thing that frequently shows up in my nightmares is distorted/rotting/decaying faces, or any combination of the three. And when i say nightmares, i mean NIGHTMARES. I get the chills just thinking about it. Said nightmares generally end up with me waking up and hyperventilating, afraid to open my eyes and uncover my head in case the horror is still out there. And i'm supposed to be 18 years old. Finally, i fear contracting a serious illness, bordering on hypochondria. Fortunately, the worst i've ever caught is merely a nasty flu. That one did cause various pains, though.

Re: Your Greatest Fear
I'd tell you all about my innermost fears and such in this post, but the truth is, I really don't have any. I have no idea why, but there isn't really anything that scares me.

Re: Your Greatest Fear
I've always had a disliking to heights. Don't ask me why, but whenever I'm up high and look down I tend to get nervous. That's pretty much it though.
