I'm currently doing a project for a class where, essentially, I have to come up with examples of how my chosen medium (webcomics) expands upon its origins (print comics). To that end, I'm planning to have a very simple comic where there is a significant pause between events and the length of that pause has a noticeable effect on the context of what happens within the comic. I'm going to have a single scene made up of maybe 3 or 4 panels and I'm going to use as many ways as I can think of to mess with the length of that crucial pause. Some methods will be available to print comics, such as lengthening panels, messing with borders, putting space between panels, adding panels, and so on. Other methods will be available exclusively to webcomics, such as stuff using mouseovers, links to the next panels, scrolling, basic animation, and whatever else I can think of. So basically, I have no artistic ability, visually speaking, and I need a basic yet clean webcomic that I can bring into photoshop and mess with to produce the aforementioned effects. Any help would be appreciated. It only has to be three panels (though optional panels I can insert to create a larger pause would be appreciated) and need include nothing more than a talking head saying something, another talking head considering the statement, and then the latter head responding. That's it. |

Anything helps. Failure begets success, and inspiration is found everywhere. That said, try and stick to more universally understood humor. Don't worry if it isn't hilarious, either; so long as the pause in the second panel is significant, the actual content doesn't matter much. The presentation is what's important. |

Wait, so at first you were asking for blank panels, and now you're asking us to give you dialogue? ...You can't do your own homework? |

A: Hey dude, look at this cool website I found! B: 4chan? Never heard of it. Click a link, dude. (pause) B: That's it, I'm leaving. A: OH COME ON! It's My Little Pony! another script: A: Hey, I found a website which predicts the future of its readers! B: What's it say? Does it say we'll have an awkward pause? (pause) B: That was... awkward. A: Well it does say we're not getting a fourth panel. |

A: Damn it! There's no emoticon for what I'm feeling! B: Click the "view more smilies button". (pause) B: Did it work? A: >:C |

Yeah, so I'd suggest that he does it himself. It'll mean more that way. |
