Okay, so theoretically I want to make a cool fighting game thingy. I've acquired Fighter Maker 2D, and about to learn the ropes on it. So here's something: Try to create a cool character for this hypothetical game. Drawings are optional, but at least include a basic description of the character, and their style of fighting/special moves/features/weapons/etc. Since I'm still learning, this yet-unnamed fighting game is still in its concept stage. Now go make some characters! |

A character where the basic idea is that he is unpredictable. Most of his moves have extremely similar or short windups, and may do different moves even on the same input. Balanced by being otherwise weak, relying on not being countered or otherwise stopped. |

I want a character with lots of dodging attacks. Like, he ducks when he swings, and does jumping attacks. He would rely a lot on user skill and timing, and have kinda low defense, but the dodging would make up for it with a skilled player. His weapon would be dual chakrams. Will this be like Soul Caliber (All weapons) or a regular fighter, with weapons added? What kind of graphics will it have? Style?(Anime/Cartoony or realistic?) |

@ Benpasko: Graphics would probably be anime-ish, sorta like BlazBlue or GuiltyGear. Although their clothes/equipment could be a bit realistic. Weapons are OK, although there would probably be non-weapon characters. And oh, those who posted before, you may now create some sort of name/backstory/stuff to pack up your character with. So they won't be two-dimensional. For example, the shifty guy Allstone described, what would his clothing be? What would the gender be? Or is he even human at all? |

For the guy I described: Tattered black shinobi outfit. Evidently used constantly without repair and almost falling to pieces. Medium length black hair with partially unkempt ponytail. One eye is open incredibly wide and coloured red-ish. Has a very twitchy stance, constantly looking around, shaking and moving in ways which suggest a full movement but are then suddenly pulled back. |

I have a character I've been building up in my head for the past year or so, not sure if i should or shouldn't release it all here though. |

Heres one i just made up. C.A.K.E : Cybernetic Artifical Killing Entity. Basically a rogue robot with auto cannon for a arm. High health, no dodge, long range. Backstory : Forged by nazi super scientists on the moon, he was sent back to earth on a flying saucer, which crashed in the Australian Outback. His primary purpose : To retake Berlin, and bring in the new order. However, when his saucer hit the ground, it damaged C.A.K.Es memory, erasing his objective. Now he fights because he does not know what else to do. |

My character's name is Constrictor. While Constrictor's attacks are strong, he is vulnurable right after attacking (he needs to pull back his vines). He attacks by super-growing vines out of his body and constricting or smashing with the vines. He likes to take care of enemies from a distance (no less than 5 feet) and will start to turtle when enemies get close. He can wrap himself in vines to greatly improve his defense (works like armor) but is unable to attack. Constrictor came from a lab where he was cloned from some average person, and then geneticly altered to have the ability to grow plant-like vines. |

Can't forget the obligatory tank character. Y'know, large and strong guy who is really tough but somewhat slow, yet will make you regret ever letting him get his hands on you. Kinda like Zangief from Street Fighter. I know it's kind of generic, but there's just something special about being a big lug that makes people run away with good reason. :U He'd probably be either a cyborg or some sort of superhuman, because there's no ♥♥♥♥ way an ordinary big guy could take on a combat robot or super mutant in a fight. He's an unarmed fighter, and his moves are somewhat slow and pack a wallop. Also has lots of health to balance his low speed. He should have some painful throws too, else he wouldn't be a proper tank character. Fighting style isn't very elegant, focusing mainly on hitting hard. Anticipating his strong attacks isn't all that difficult, but failing to do so is going to hurt a lot. Getting into throwing range is VERY dangerous. Finally, i have no idea what to call him. Hrodgeir? |

Okay, my character would be a young guy, late teens, red hair, and dressed like he's going to a rave. Also he was forged by Nazi scientists on the moon. |

Really? Make Dafred. Old army clothes, flashy hairstyle. Somewhat of a comical character, is always with a smug smirk on his face. Attacks with short punchs and kicks, occasionally dealing a damaging blow with his shovel. Short-range spas-12000 attacks could also be used as finishing blows. Or rather, if you want something more original, I had this idea of a dude called Sledge. A very thin, tall dude with somewhat normal clothes, but a welder mask and an oh-so-incredibly-oversized sledgehammer. Very strong attack and fast dodging, but low defense and very vulnerable while attacking. Somewhat hard to use, but pays off because of the extreme damage output. And a tip: start thinking about female characters, or no one's gonna even try your game. |

No idea what she'd look like, except they'd probably use a big bladed crescent as a weapon, but... Crescendo. Attacks get stronger as successive hits rise, or if it's a 1-2-3-4 combo, later hits deal more damage. Spamming the same button will give a bunch of weak attacks, but using it skillfully would result in powerful combo attacks and juggling. The more I think about it, the more I think Crescendo would be a female name. |

Nice ideas there, I like the idea of Crescendo, Constrictor and Cake (hmm, all start with C...). And what's up with Nazi scientists on the moon?? XD I agree that there should be the tank character, and by Shook's suggestion, he/she/it could be Nordic. I also come up with two character ideas. One is Django, a cowboy gunslinger with a penchant for gambling... which means, his attacks sometimes use cards or dice, and for his big move he's gonna make a big roulette wheel come and decide the outcome of the attack. Red, he lets loose a hail of bullets, black, he charges a laser-like shot which can't be blocked, green, he does a combo of bullets (which knock the opponent around) and blasts the enemy with a massive laser at the end. The other is Samedi, a voodoo witch doctor kinda like Facilier. He has a cane which could transform into a snake when attacking, and he could call a man-size voodoo doll as his special. This doll will then proceed to attack the opponent, and could be hit by the enemy or Samedi himself. But, whenever it's hit, the enemy receives the effect of the hit. He could also throw magic potions around which could poison. For Allstone's shifty character, we could make him an undead wraith of some kind. Should be cool. @ Areku: I've thought up of a character similar to Sledge, but with knives, and he's a serial killer. Should be fun having a serial killer character. |
