Hello, my people, I am on the search for a supplier of ferrofluid. I'm sure you esteemed members of this board know what that is. Now, do any of you know of a place where I can get some for cheaper than others? So far, the cheapest place I've found is here. It'll cost me roughly forty dollars for that half-cup of delicious, seductive ferrofluid. But anyone who may have bought some to ♥♥♥♥ around with before know where I can get it any cheaper? I'm pretty damn poor, so that forty dollars is a lot to me, and any help would be appreciated. And before anybody suggests this, I'm too lazy to make it myself. |

You really should just make it yourself using toner, you can get a lot more. I'd say United Nuclear, but theirs is also pretty expensive, but you can order in smaller quantities. |

Like, if I ever get enough disposable income to do this, I want to buy like a tub full and a huge-ass rare-earth magnet or just make a giant-ass electromagnet so I can have a giant glob of it suspended. Because touching it would feel weird as hell. And Thanks for the responses, my lovelies. |

If you get this I would like to see what happens if you suspend it in a ring of magnets. (as in suspending it in some container, not the magnets suspending it... and outside the container is a single ring of magnets.) |

That'd be a fairly interesting pattern, with interaction between surface tension and magnetism. |
