My Blog
So I started this blog... but I've never made a website before. I want to know if I'm on the right track. If this is considered advertising I'm sorry, lock this. But I'd like some advice from anyone who has made a website in the past (especially a blog) so I can find out if I'm on the right track or not. Thanks. http://superiorfirepower.zxq.net/

Re: My Blog
To be honest it's a pretty horrible blog right now, you sound like what I expect to be a very educated person for your age-group... which I'm estimating to be 10 or 11. But it's pretty uncommon for anyone to be good at anything right when they first start. Don't be discouraged.
I'd say get rid of the politics- you are making blankets axioms that don't lend itself to usefulness or even a topic of debate.
Another thing is that your writing is very casual. As in, blabbering incoherently to your cat casual. Do you get good marks in English? Do you attend any English classes? Approach any writing that you do for entertainment with at the very least as much effort as you do for school. You also have a lot of unseemly spelling and grammar mistakes which only add to my earlier impressions.

I really don't know what I was thinking. Quote: Another thing is that your writing is very casual. As in, blabbering incoherently to your cat casual. Do you get good marks in English? Should I get rid of everything and start over from scratch? I have already deleted most of the posts. I am currently rewriting the about page.

Re: My Blog
Try to go for slightly larger paragraphs and more complete, full sentences.

Re: My Blog
ok well you should listen to me because i am the most correct person here
how to make a blog:
step 1: install wordpress step 2: pick a theme step 3: post about anything YOU want to
this is how you make a good blog. if your posts are about any ♥♥♥♥ you feel like talking about, it's a good blog.
getting anyone to actually care about it is impossible btw nobody reads blogs
maybe your family would
also that host is disgusting get hostgator's $8/mo package or something

#1 advice bro:
Post about interesting stuff. Generic game reviews are boring. Common opinions on homeland defence is boring. Post interesting, at least semi-original ideas. No one wants reiterations of very simplistic, very common ideas.
Game reviews and politics can be interesting, but you have to be original or at the very very least go the Yahtzee route and be clever (or rather in Yahtzee's case, just give the vague impression that one should think you are).

But Shattered Horizon looks so pretty... Okay, I'll try to come up with something better. Good to know that my writing is acceptable when I take my time though.
