Post I bought some new pc speakers
For some reason, I was browsing the pc world website just because I was bored and I came across a set of 2:1 pc speakers
I don't know why but I instantly fell in love with them, so I bought them immediately with my remaining birthday money.
http://www.amazon.com/Altec-Lansing-Expressionist-PLUS-FX3021-Speaker/dp/B002BA596W
These speakers are for my new (2 weeks old) HP Pavilion Elite 163uk because it is currently speaker-less and playing sound through the monitor
I mainly use the computer as a mix of a media centre and a gaming platform.

The reason I post this is to ask you guys whether you think I made the right choice of speakers or not,
because there are some mixed views on them.

Link is broken, but there are two essential criteria for my rubric.
1. Do they work
2. Do they sound alright

If those two are met, then I would say it was a decent purchase.

For 90 dollars I would expect them to sound great, or at least good. "Alright" would be from more of a standard for some 30 dollar speakers.

I personally would want a headphone port too, although you might not care so much about that.

And while you might not really be using them for gaming particularly, viewtopic.php?f=82&t=18742 might have been a better place to have posted this, rather than making a new thread.

Sorry azzuki, didn't see that link
Headphone wise I have duel jack plugs on the front of my tower so no worries about that
I have a creative fatal1ty headset which I mainly use for voice chat and COD (Well. not really seeing as I don't have the pc version of MW2 yet)
