Any taidokas here?
So? Are there any taidokas at these forums? If you don't know what taido is, go here.

Re: Any taidokas here?
I am not a ninja, merely a student of the art of Ninjutsu, and I prefer not to have status such as “Ninja” laid upon me, for as yet I am unworthy of the title. I will be completing my Ninjutsu training in a little over 8 months, and then I will be a Master of Ninjutsu, a true “Ninja”, which would mean I can wear the special boots to climb walls.

Re: Any taidokas here?
Aye, I do a watered down version of Aikido, as well. More-so I focus on the fundamentals: The art of misdirection.
Thanks for the show.

I've always wanted to learn Ninjitsu and Judo. Never so much Karate, though.

Re: Any taidokas here?
Well, karate strikes me as a whole lot of punching the air and press-ups, which I can happily do outside the dojo.

I'm pretty sure a majority of martial arts is training technique and exercising the movements, not just increasing general fitness.

Oh indeed, in aikido you spend freaking ages on locks, but standing in a room repeating the same punch over and over would blow my mind with boredom. You do get pretty beefy doing it though..

Actually, my great ancestor was a Japanese Ninja. In our family History tree from the History tree website we looked it up, and he was a Great Japanese Warlord. I'm sure he was a Tadioke or w/e.

Re: Any taidokas here?
I practice Iaido, Aikido and Fencing.
I did experiment with Taido before but sadly due to re-location issues, I was unable to complete my training past one year. Where I live now, I can't exactly find anywhere where I can continue learning so I decided to take up Aikido. And sadly, Airport security wouldn't let me take my Bokken so I dropped Iaido since the beginning of this year. I haven't made enough money to buy myself a new bokken yet. I continue Fencing since its easy to find places in London for that. Especially since I'm studying in Stage Management/Directing so fencing is becoming a useful tool.
Yes sadly, studying comes first and before studying comes money and so time has taken its toll. So basically, I'm just a hot mess. I would love to take up Taido again but I don't really know anywhere in Sidcup where they have a place to study. If anyone has any info on that...

All I have is a blue belt in Tang Soo Do, and some Jujitsu.
