Re: Who butters corn?
I don't, but I'd presume people that do do so for the butter flavour without the horrible texture of pure butter inside their mouth.

I butter gently, and salt.
Gets the butter, but no butter in copious amounts.

Without corn we wouldn't have cheap alcohol. So, no. Corn is delicious

Re: Who butters corn?
I've never had corn with butter before, so I can't say. Steamed corn-on-a-cob is good by itself.

Butter and salt on corn on the cob is the best stuff ever.

Re: Who butters corn?
For corn on the cob, I'll sometime use some butter, sometimes some salt. It adds flavor to something otherwise bland. Cream corn is nasty. Regular[?] canned corn mixes well with mashed potatoes and some salt. Without mashed potatoes though, I never add seasoning to it. Popcorn is tasty, but after eating much it starts to get gross. The kernel shells suction-cupping to the back of your tongue are the bigger reason I'm not too crazy about it though.
