Music Genres
Some people love certain types of music, and hate others, and think ehh about some others. What do you listen to and why?

Re: Music Genres
I wouldn't categorize Flogging Molly as rock, although I agree it's great.

Re: Music Genres
Cellos. And that's about it.
Which is to say, I listen to Voltaire, who is pretty much goth, and he uses guitar, cello, and violin, mostly. And his music is beautiful.
And then I listen to Apocalyptica, which is pretty much Metallica with cellos.
Also, Jonathan Coulton, but I haven't really listened to his music in a while. Nothing new anymore.

Re: Music Genres
Stereotypical alt rock, because I like it though, not hopping on the bandwagon. Right guys? Some rap, and then punk rock and that sorta stuff. I like rock.

Re: Music Genres
Um, I use to listen to popular 70's music only- Beatles, Beegees, Bangles, Beach Boys, Billy Joel, that sort of thing.
Now I listen to newer pop. I like Lights, Paramore (I love Paramore), and Panic at the Disco a little.
Of course I dabble in "Indie" a little. mewithoutYou, The Brunettes, DCFC (Though pretty much everyone knows them).
Edit: Well, really, like most people I'm not confined to one or two genres. I like Tiesto, Daft Punk, Dixie Chicks, Will Smith, and crazy insane Japanese Victorian Crossdresser Heavy Metal (Versailles).
I've also been listening to Tegan and Sarah recently and they're amazing.

Re: Music Genres
I listen to music in general, though I tend to be partial to electronic stuff. Pretty much anything on DI.FM. Before you say to yourself "Oh, you must mean stuff like Tiesto and Basshunter", that's half true and half not. They're interesting, but I really like stuff by, say, 3.14 or Deadmau5. Also, happy hardcore stuff or eurodance, from Toybox for example.
I do have a guilty pleasure for Rammstein (whatever genre they're in) though, and church-y organ musics with sung latin.

Re: Music Genres
I listen to ONLY Flogging Molly, I don't like switching from Genre band to same Genre band. I'm getting one of their belt buckles- damn USPS. I also like Josh Groban- Dang, is he good.
Also, Check out Marilyn Manson- don't have a nervous breakdown. I'd post a link to "Beautiful People," but it won't work.
