Post subject:  Guess I should start watching Doctor Wh- OH ♥♥♥♥
Alright, open up BBC, I want in. You've won, you've succeeded, I've decided to surrender to the wills of those around me and start watching Doctor Who. The problem is the show has been running for a very, extraordinarily long time, and I don't know where to start. I watched most of Eccleston's stuff then stopped before he finished, and have seen nothing of David Tennant.

So do I start there? Re-watch Eccleston? Go back further?

Oh, but before I go, answer me this fans.

Did Rose ever do anything useful with Tennant? I can't remember her doing anything even remotely constructive under Eccleston.

Re-watch, I did it maybe six months ago, and it sure was worth it. Tennant is the best.

watching the most recent series is all you really need to catch up pretty well

remember that doctor who is never about having an entirely sensible canon of episodes; it's more about having fun from episode to episode with some WHOA ♥♥♥♥ HOLY JESUS season finales

It's not really spoilers as every five minutes of the two part finale and the three preceding episodes he'd stop and have a flashback of an Ood and say "Oh dear I'm about to die"

I spent my time watching that wondering about cameras. With the way the brits have coated their island in CCTV, those stone freaks would never get to move.
But that's just poking holes in an already laughably ragged continuum.

Just watch every season finale, one by one.
You may need to be inebriated, but if you pull it off you should be good.

It's not. It's very hard to suppress your blinking reflex for long periods of time, and I've noticed that blinking one eye at a time hardly helps.

Cameras are easy. Since they film in frames, unlike the human eye, they can just move in between the frames.

Not to get off topic, but your eyes do actually record in pulses (frames), but these get smeared together in your brain.

If you blink one eye at a time rapidly enough it works.
But yeah, it's just a show, I'm already reading far too much into it.
It worked that way because the script writer said so.
