So as some of you are aware of (and most of you are not), indie game developer John Graham from Wolfire Games grew a beard earlier in the year and announced that he wouldn't shave it until all of the basic gameplay elements for Wolfire's newest game Overgrowth (which you can Google to find out more about etc) were developed and up and running. Apparently, according to a comment by John, that goal isn't too far away from being achieved, so out of support for the Great Beard (affectionately referred to as "Jacob" by some) and also boredom I created a petition on iPetitions encouraging Mr. Graham to dye his beard pink before it is forever lost to the cruel edge of a razor blade. Sign up? Already posted this on both the Wolfire and Toribash forums today so there's some decent support of 30+ signatures but I'm trying to spread the message, mainly for some shallow laughs. tl;dr; YOU'LL BE COOL IF YOU SIGN IT BECAUSE BANDWAGON PETITIONS ARE A++ |

Yeah it did, donation is just encouraged every time you vote there but you don't ever actually need to pay. |

Toes: Link dump is for random videos, games, etc. This on the other hand is for an extremely important cause, one important enough to deserve its own thread. Daman: So do I. That's no reason not to sign it. |

Maybe; there was never any formal agreement on it, but the petition has certainly gotten his attention. He even said he might mention it on Wolfire's blog as an 'official statement', so I guess we'll have to see. |

No, he actually just looks like an infuriated troll who's trying to seem smart but ultimately will have no real affect on the thread, petition, or society in general. BUT I WILL CALL HIM A INEFFICIENT SUBROUTINE BECAUSE ADDING REGULAR WORDS TO CURSE WORDS IS SO COOL RITE GUISE In any case, John said he might try to set a different goal like "X number of YouTube subscribers" if the petition gets enough support, before actually dyeing his beard pink. Seems like he's just holding off on it to see what the fans want ;o |
