Opening Ports
Ok, the guys I'm trying to get help from these guys, but they all speak German and poor English, so I need your expertise. I need to open several ports in order to find a game on Hidden Stroke II, but I've been unsuccessful on my own. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. These are the following ports I need opened:
TCP 47624 TCP 1401 to 1409 UDP 47624 UDP 1900 UDP 2350 TCP 2300

Re: Opening Ports
The problem with things like this is that they don't help out so much. I'll try it anyways.

Re: Opening Ports
1. Do you have a router/hub? If yes, go to #5. If no, go to #2 and skip everything after #4. 2. Go to the firewall page in control panel. In XP, it helpfully says "exlusions" right one a tab. In Vista, you have to go through the "Settings" link in the firewall dialog. At the top of this is the exclusions tab. 3. Add all the ports you just mentioned with the "Add port" button. 4. Start up the game and try it. 5. If'n you have a router, open up it's configuration page. This is usually accessed through entering an IP in your web browser. 192.168.2.1 or something. 6. Go to it's "Virtual server" page, it might also be called something similar, or just "port forwarding". 7. Enter the same ports here as you did in step 3. 8. Save your changes and exit. Test the game.

Re: Opening Ports
Alright, I used PFConfig and put the port #'s in, but if that fails, I will try your steps, Duh.

Re: Opening Ports
Port forwarding is not complicated. Give your computer a static ip (THIS ISN'T EVEN A TOTALLY NECESSARY STEP), tell your router to push all traffic on x port to your computer. SIMPLICITY ITSELF.

Not even really a necessary step.

Re: Opening Ports
I like how it tells me the link is broken when I put my static IP in.
EDIT: Nevermind. But I have the new problem of not knowing my username or password. It's not the default username and password, by the way. I'll have to ask my brother.
