Post Getting a new PC - Suggestions
Hey there. It's good old "9 posts" himself, asking for a nice bit of community help.

I'm getting a new PC. Money off from Open University and stuff, and this one is pretty bad. I run most games at 20-30FPS. Half a gig of RAM.
I'm wondering what goes into an overall good gaming experience.

I'm guessing that I'll want more RAM, and something better than this 5-year-old graphics card.
But I'm wondering about processers and the like. Whether I need a more powerful one, and what it would do.

Working on a mild budget, here, as well.

Some rules of thumb for decent game performance:
CPU: Single core 3.0GHz, Dual core 1.8GHz
RAM: >= 2Gig
HDD: >= 120Gig
GPU: >= 256bit

That said, I'm no expert.

I'll sell you mine. Half a terabyte of space, 3.2 ghz AMD Athlon 6400, 4870, 4.5 gigs of RAM, etc etc. Though with my luck you're in the UK.

He shoots, he scores!

And it sounded like a nice PC as well...
How much would you ask for it?
