Could someone supply me with a working link to an iso download of Windows 7 or Windows XP? Hard drive failed and I'm running off a CD, so I can't use any kinds of torrents, so a direct iso download is needed.

No, I don't have my reinstallation CDs.
No, I do not yet have a new hard drive.

I'm saving the iso to a flash drive for now, then burning it to a dvd and installing it as soon as I can.

....RekOS came in verrryyyyyy handy.

So how would this be anything other than supplying you warez?
EDIT: I forgot you might have a key. Without a disc for some reason, but a key.

I believe what Microsoft sells is the right to use their software. A key is the matter of such.
Thus, if you have a legitimate key, you have bought their software and are entitled by law to use it. I do not believe that the law requires you also to use the disc your particular copy of the software came on.

Hm. Reading up on it, apparently you are correct. At least with Windows, I didn't look for any other OSs. Though apparently Microsoft will not care, as long as you call them up to ask them to activate your copy. Going on this thread.
Apparently, and internet credentials are what you make of them, there are some people in the thread who have contacts with current and/or past MS employees who say MS will happily validate your downloaded copy of windows with proof of purchase.

I personally would not have changed my actions whether or not you were correct, but it's nice to know where the law stands. Maybe I'll be in a position to knock some sense into it someday.

Even if Whitty has a genuine copy, I still believe that this thread falls under our "No warez" rule. So I am locking it and warning Whitty
