My computer has some problems... (Fixed)

 My computer has some problems... (Fixed)On my second computer, everything started stuttering.
It started lagging really badly, for no reason. I could move my mouse, but it wouldn't respond until a 3 second freeze ended. When I go into safe mode everything works perfectly. I would back-up and reformat, but I don't know if my problem is a virus. I'm using Vista Home Premium. Suggestions? Last edited by CrazyMLC on Fri Jun 19, 2009 2:46 am, edited 3 times in total. |

Need t new harddrive, but since it's the boot sector, atleast I can back things up. -_-; (Sorry for dp) |

Take the install disk, go into repair mode, type bootfix fixmbr Should reinstall the boot part into your harddrive. |

Re: My computer has some problems... (Fixed[ish]) When I said Boot Sector I meant Hardware, not Software.
When I deleted my partition, and reinstalled Vista, it kept crashing. I tried 5 times, and it crashed every time. I think I accidentally turned off the computer when It was starting up or turning off or something. I need a new hard drive anyway, the one I have is 6 years old or something and is only 150 GBs. I'm going to get a Seagate Barracuda.  Only $50! Hopefully with it's super speed I'll be able to start Cortex Command really quickly. Along with all my other games. |

Also, The other suggestion wouldn't work. |
