Hey, as many of you know, M$ Explorer (like most of their other programs) is kind of terrible. I've already replaced it as the shell, and will soon replace it as file manager. Unfortunately, when running this other shell, bblean, the "My Computer" folder does not update correctly when I, for example, plug in a flash drive. My question is this: are there any freeware programs that have a device-access function of their own, that doesn't use "My Computer?" I can't use a file manager if it tries to use "My Computer"; that won't work because Explorer isn't my shell. Any insight appreciated. |

I'd love to in every respect except gaming. Near all popular games are compatible with (and only with) Windows. Dual-booting would be possible, but I don't really feel like restarting my computer every few minutes when I go from a game to doing other stuff. |
